Chakra Cleansing, Balancing, and Healing
What is a Chakra? What are Chakras?
Chakra was originally a Sanskrit word meaning ‘Wheel’ – in particular, wheel of light.
Chakras are energetic systems that work with the vibrations of life energy or life-force, sometimes referred to as ‘chi’, ‘prana’ or simply ‘light’. They act as a kind of transformer, translating the incoming energies into usable energy for the body.
They generally have both sending – transmitting or giving – and receiving – taking or attracting – qualities.
A Chakra is actually a part of the human physiology, but is not readily visible to the human eye. It has a direct correlation or co-relation with the nervous system, as the Chakras that are placed within the body (called ‘In-Body Chakras’) are placed at junctions of groups of ganglionic nerves that relay vast amounts of information to the nervous system and the brain.
There are several Chakra Systems within the human anatomy.
The Major Chakra System is the best known system and is part of the ‘In-Body Chakras’ which are placed as mentioned above. And there is also a Minor Chakra System that falls into this category.
Besides these there are a number of other Chakra Systems.
The Major Chakra System or 7 Chakra System
The Chakras in this system are usually seen or referred to as the 7 Chakra System. This is because it is commonly viewed as having 7 Chakras or Wheels of Light that sit within the human body.
From the head down, they are called:
- The Crown Chakra
- The Third Eye or Brow Chakra
- The Throat Chakra
- The Heart Chakra
- The Solar Plexus Chakra
- The Sacral Chakra
- The Base or Root Chakra
There is a central passageway that connects these Chakras together that lies close to the spine in some reference systems and in others is seen as following a pathway directly vertical down (and up) through the body. This is often referred to as the ‘Central Channel’.
The Major Chakras also depend to some degree on the meridian systems.
The Meridians are well documented by the Chinese in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and have been adopted by several western therapies and Natural Healing Modalities.
The Meridians
The Meridians are connected to the organs of the body and provide the electrical network system which allows for the flow of electrical energy and information that carries vitality throughout the body.
There is a flow-on effect with meridians, as they work in a sequence round the clock pretty much regulating the functioning of the body systems. When one meridian is blocked or is not flowing correctly it will usually begin to affect the healthy flow of energy to the next meridian in the function sequence .
When several meridians are blocked, our energy becomes sluggish, stagnation occurs in the body, and we begin to feel the effects within the body in one way or another, depending on what is happening (or not happening).
Chakra Balancing and Healing – Take Care!
Each one of the chakras fulfils a variety of roles and has specific functions. Each chakra usually – though not always - resonates to a particular color when balanced, and needs to be performing correctly for full health in the body. Chakras that are damaged or out of balance can affect not just how we feel, but our levels of vitality and ease.
In the Major Chakra System, they usually resonate to the following colors:
- The Crown Chakra – Violet / Purple
- The Third Eye or Brow Chakra – Indigo Blue
- The Throat Chakra – Blue
- The Heart Chakra – Green (Pink is one of the new Healing Colors)
- The Solar Plexus Chakra – Yellow
- The Sacral Chakra – Orange
- The Base or Root Chakra – Red
Working With Colors in the Chakras
Always take care when working with color and the Chakras, as a badly imbalanced chakra that has too much of the supposed ‘right’ color infused into it may actually be ‘voer-functioning’ and burning itself out. Don’t just assume that because someone has said that a particular chakra resonates with a particular color that applying tht color will fix it, because that may not be true. I have had to repair damage done by people not knowing what they are doing when it comes to using crystals and color. Some people have had their chakra system so badly affected that it has taken a long time to repair the damage.
If you are not sure which color to work with, there are several ‘safe’ colors I can recommend. I will be publishing more on these soon.
Besides this common and well known Chakra system, there are several minor systems.
Minor Chakra Systems
The minor chakra systems are found in the organs, glands and at most joints. The chakras or energy centers at these points aid the proper function of the related body part. They are also linked in with the meridian system, as are the Major Chakras.
The minor chakras have a variety of colors that they resonate to, which depend on which chakra they are and where they are placed.
Besides these minor systems there are specific function chakra systems, as I have outlined in my page on the ‘New Chakras and Subtle Body Systems’. The Book on these Chakra systems also provides the appropriate colors for healing, cleansing and balancing.
Chakra Healing
To Cleanse, Balance and Heal the Chakras there is a variety of vibrational, energetic and frequency medicines and applications that can assist.
Herbs and acupuncture can assist with the Meridians, and also in balancing the organs and glands. This can also assist the Minor Chakras, even though you may not be working on them directly. These in turn can assist the Major Chakras unless there has been sustained stress, toxicity or there is damage.
Personally, when working energetically or vibrationally, I would first focus on the Major Chakra system. When these are in balance, and the Meridians appear to have full flow function again, this can often correct the Minor Chakras. But check these next just to make sure.
Even though you may work on different systems, they will eventually assist the other systems, and it is a matter of choice, knowledge, skill and ability as to what you address first.
However, always check that you have addressed all of these aspects if you can, so that the system is balanced to the best of your ability. This will ensure a greater chance of sustained balance, leading to a better healing.
The ‘Out-of-Body’ Chakras
We have looked at the ‘In-Body’ Chakras, now we need to look at the other influential chakra systems.
The ‘Out-of-Body’ Chakras include the Higher Chakra system, the New Human Earthing Chakra system, the Psychic Body system and the Signal Chakra system. The Psychic Body system and the Signal Chakra system connect both out-of-body and in-body systems, thus breaching the physical with the energy bodies and fields in a more comprehensive way.
New Chakra Systems – The Extra-Ordinary Chakras
As the New Human Earthing Chakra System is part of our newly evolved subtle anatomy, when discussing balancing and healing, I would also check these out and balance them. The Psychic Body Chakra system, which is directly related not only to our abilities to see more than just the purely physical, is also directly related to our imagination faculty, and our other sense faculties.
Besides these there is yet another chakra system that I originally identified as the ‘Survival’ Chakra system because they showed up quite quickly as out of balance when our physical or mental or emotional bodies were under great stress and had gone into ‘Survival Mode’. I later changed their name to ‘Signal Chakras’ as they were the quickest signals to stress in the body, and they also gave a different picture than was obtainable from the Major Chakra system.
My new book on these new Chakra systems is the only place I know of where this information has been documented.
Higher Chakra System / Upper Chakras
The Higher Chakra System, which has been recognised for some time now, and includes such names as ‘Galactic Chakra’, ‘Cosmic Chakra’ etc is another system that is situated above the head.
These Chakras have several different names and have been documented in several differing ways. I think the differences here lie in the fact that some healers work with particular energies and the vibrations they are familiar with help them ‘trace’ these higher chakras.
As not every ‘healer’ works in exactly the same way the interpretation can depend on the person doing the interpretation.
I will be writing about these higher chakras with their differing labels so that there may be some uniformity in their placement.
The subject of Chakra cleansing, balancing and healing is an intricate one. Firstly knowing the chakras is important, diagnosing them is also important, and knowing what works with what is also important.
Chakra Cleansing Techniques
There are some great overall cleansing techniques and meditations.
These can certainly assist with certain aspects of cleansing and strengthening. Supporting the Aura and Energy Fields can assist with cleansing and healing the Chakras.
I will be making available some more guided meditations in the form of Chakra balancing meditations which can facilitate Chakras specifically on an energetic level and in a powerful subtle way. Stay tuned and watch the page here: Guided Meditations – mp3′s.
Be well, Stay Well,
